The R.E.A.L.I.T.Y. Blog Award

Hello. Is this thing on? Can anyone hear me? Ok – here we go!

I have been nominated for the R.E.A.L.I.T.Y. Blog Award.

I have not been in this blog blogging blogosphering world for very long, so it is nice to be recognised for my artistic endeavours!

This nomination was given to me by the lovely Alison, who writes alot of truth about her life experiences and creates vibrant, humourous and charming contemporary photography – her blog can be found by clicking on the link below:-

There’s a frog on my Sprocket!

The rules of the Award are to mention five things about myself answering the questions posed and to nominate eight other bloggers for the Award, so here we go:-

1) If you could change something what would you change?

In myself – no need, the change for the good has already begun and I’m enjoying the journey – let the adventures commence!

In others, I’d like to get rid of cruelty to animals because animals are just so darn cute!

2) If you could repeat an age, what age would it be?

My early twenties and I would spend every minute of them writing stories (I did however have a blast writing song lyrics, which I still do until this very day and beyond).

3) What one thing really scares you?

That the clock is always ticking.

However, that is the inevitability of life, which is why we must spend every second of it living life to the full, making the most of our abilities to put fun/happiness in the lives of others and to always pursue our dreams/goals no matter what hurdles we have to face.

4) What one dream have you not completed yet and do you think you will be able to complete it?

I have multiple dreams surrounding artistic achievements that I hope to conquer before I croak – I would really love to get a novel/script/music album published commercially in the future.

5) If you could be someone else for a day, who would you be?

Garfield, then I would be pampered, could be very lazy and get to eat lasagna and donuts all day!

This is an interesting conundrum for me, since I know people who I would immediately nominate but they have already been nominated, two very inspiring youths – Alison (my nominator) and Will Louison please stand up.

Will is an avid collector, writer of novels/poetry and all round decent chap, a Superman if you will  – you can follow his very inspiring blog here:-

What If It All Means Something

Thankfully there are a huge number of fantastic blogs out there that I am enjoying that deserve an Award, so I will never be short of candidates!

I would therefore like to nominate the following blogs out of the bajillions that I want to choose but have to narrow it down to specific categories that tickle my fancy:-

Caroline Auckland (Amazing Poems/Prose/Photos – she is a truly inspirational woman):- A Window To My Soul

Michael McMullen (only know him a short while but he writes fantastic Short Stories & entertaining blog posts):- Michael McMullen

Maria Soleil – I Love Tea & Cake (a blog about two of my all time favourite things – subscribe now and succumb to your innermost desires):- I Love Tea & Cake

Ros From Scratch – One of the best blogs I have ever had the fortune to read by a very funny lady – baking, family banter, Franschoek (look it up) and other madness lovingly prepared straight from her blog to your funny bone:- Ros From Scratch

Linda Parkinson-Hardman – Woman on the Edge of Reality (fantastically varied useful content – Word of the Week, Stories, Marketing Tips for Writers/Authors, Comps, brilliant!):- Woman on the Edge of Reality

Savvy Blurb (Sports related, has very succinct, positive motivational messages, like it alot):- Savvy Blurb

Jeni Marinucci – Highly Irritable Blog (very funny – covering humour and parenting in one lucidly relatable package):- Highly Irritable Blog

I would encourage you to follow these blogs if you have the time – they all rock my world in a myriad of exciting ways.

Thanks for reading and stay frosty – a new story tomorrow, so keep an eye out!

David

  1. Paco – you get my vote – in fact your motivation is getting me to jumpstart my own blog, which has been running on empty for somew time now – unispired re-hash – I must do better.

So good luck and tell me where to vote. I hope that the turn out is better than the PCC elections!

    • Kev baby.

I can’t tell you where to vote because I already have the award – it’s mine, all mine, bwahahahahahahahaha! (Although technically true this statement is also ambigious, since I have nominated people to also win it and there were more forebearers before I got it but it’s still mine y’here? Now get the hell off my land!…..Please?)
